Answer:

Yes, the new plants inherit the characteristics from both plant A and plant B.

Answer:

Material B.

Material B is a poorer conductor of heat as it slows down the transfer of heat through it slowly which results in the ice melting more slowly than A. Therefore, to ensure that the house stays cool on a hot day, a poorer conductor of heat must be used to insulate the house to ensure that the heat from the surrounding external air travels slowly through the walls.

Answer:

The flower will still be able to develop into a fruit as it still has a stigma which allows it to undergo pollination. Additionally, it still has its ovary and ovules which can undergo fertilisation and therefore fruit formation after.

Question:

Study the circuit diagrams below.

Which of the materials are conductors and insulators of electricity? Explain your answer.

Answer:

Since the light bulb is lighted when Materials B and C are connected to the circuit, Materials B and C are both conductors of electricity. However, when Material A and B are connected to the ciruit, the light bulb does not light up, thus Material A must be an insulator of electricity.

Question:

Sarah set up the following experiment.

She noticed that there was some water droplets formed at the bottom of the aluminium dish.

Explain how the water droplets are formed on the aluminium dish.

Answer:

The boiling water evaporates into hot water vapour which touches the cooler surface of the aluminium dish, loses heat, and condenses into water droplets.
